![]() If I dump all the traffic to my server, I can capture lots of hamachi traffic that's now falsely routed to my machine. I have my own root server at a european datacenter and it has an IP starting with 5.x.x.x, which is the network range Hamachi used in the past for their service. It might be that your new server uses an IP address that's used by that "Gaming VPN" service. Then I have another guess: do you use any VPN Software besides Windscribe? Like LogMeIn Hamachi? These might use IP Subnets that by now are publicly routed. So your traffic to the server may arrive, but the responses never get back to you. I've also seen some network admin at server providers f*** up and set some strange static routes, that just don't work. If the firewall is blocking Minecraft server connections, either allow those connections or disable the firewall. Log in to web interface on your modem or router and check the firewall settings. Usually it's a firewall at the server provider that detects "spam" or "attacks" from larger customer networks (like xfinity) and blocks the whole IP subnet of that provider. Sometimes your modem or router may have its own firewall. It's just not their style to do that.įrom my experience often it's the smaller companies fault. Plus: Big ISPs have several routes to a target network, that get advertised via many peerings to other providers. That doesn't work well with their usually highly automated infrastructure. Usually big ISPs don't block individual servers or server providers. I don't suspect your ISP (you said XFinity), but I can't rule that one out 100% as I've heard some shitty things about them. I have several ideas about the cause of your issue. Join us on Discord for in-depth discussions!
